Margin Rates For New LME Plastics Futures
  1. LCH.Clearnet Ltd has set SPAN parameters, as highlighted in bold and italic in the attached document for the new LME Plastics futures. The changes will take place with effect from close of business Friday 27 May 2005 and will be reflected in margin calls made on Tuesday 31 May 2005.

  2. This circular supersedes circular No: LCH.Clearnet Ltd Circular No 1883; LME/345 dated 28 April 2005.

  3. Details of margin rates are available on the LME Matching and Clearing System by selecting the SPAN Initial Margin Rates report in Report Printing and Browsing and also on the LCH.Clearnet Ltd website (www.lchclearnet.com) by selecting ‘Limited’. Details can then be found under the ‘Risk & Margining’ section.
