Membership Process
The aim of this process is to help Clearing Members to clarify how to proceed when they are prepared to accept a new Trading Member that is already cleared by another Clearing Member : contacts, documentation, time limit, etc.
The five main stages to change a Clearing Member:
The new Clearing Member contacts its account Manager explaining the situation, context, name and code of the Trading Member and date of the change.
The "Change of Clearing Member Forms" have to be duly filled in and signed by the entity involved.
The Clearing Member sends back the relevant Forms and the requested documentation to the Membership Department by e-mail, fax, etc.
The Membership Department 1 or 2 weeks before effective date in production can authorize some tests on the EUA platform if all the requested documentation has been received.
The Membership Department 1 week before start-up will issue an Official Notice (market circular) to inform about the change and the effective date in production.

The requested documentation:
Copy of the Clearing Agreement between the Trading Member and the new Clearing Member. This document will be approved by LCH.Clearnet SA Legal Department within 10 business days.
Clearing Agreement resignation letter from the previous Clearing Member or the Trading Member.
