OTC UK Power

The clearing service for UK Power was launched in August 2004, in response to industry demand for a platform independent clearing service for this market.
 
The service allows for UK Power OTC contracts, previously concluded by bilateral parties, either directly or through a voice broker, to be registered with LCH.Clearnet for clearing. Positions that subsequently remain open at a contract’s expiry are physically delivered, with LCH.Clearnet as central counterparty.
