Loss Exercises and Abandonment Detection

Context and Summary of the Updated Service
LCH.Clearnet SA intends to implement some enhancements with regards to the Exercises and Abandonments functionality in the clearing system in order to improve the real time control of its clients over the process and to reinforce LCH.Clearnet’s assistance to its clients’ decision-making when exercising an option.
This enhancement is to be implemented on 22February 2008.
A member’s free testing period will be open as from 15 January 2008.
Technical Impact
A new field will be added in the Command messages 1091 and 1081 for exercise/abandonment creation. When activated, this field will require the check of the Exercise/Abandonment by LCH.Clearnet’s Clearing system.
This enhancement will be applicable on eCWW.
