GDP – LME External Interface Application Guide v5.06 – XI Plus Changes for LME Members
There are changes planned to the LME External Interface to meet the requirements of the two projects below:
Migration of trade matching functions from MCS to SMART;
Migration of clearing functions from MCS to GDP.
To help reduce the technical impact on members, the changes to the interface have been kept to a minimum.
When SMART is implemented, the LME External Interface functionality will change for Members as follows:
Trade input, correction and deletion messages will become redundant (M005, M014 and M027);
Trade enquiries (M009) will only return with matched trades.
When GDP is implemented the LME External Interface functionality will change for Members as follows:
SPAN File Download will only be available in ‘turbo’ mode;
New optional messages for Members to manage option declarations in parallel with online facilities;
Concept of LME trade types, public and private references become redundant;
Re-use of redundant fields to accommodate ‘Clearing ID’ with no change in structure.
There will be a new release of PC Bridge, which will involve a mandatory upgrade.
A document titled ‘XI Plus Changes for LME Members’ can be found on the secure website below. This details the proposed changes described above. This is in addition to the draft ‘LME External Interface Application Guide’ version 5.06.
