Amendment to LME Matching & Clearing and External Interface Passwords
Members are advised that effective Monday 22nd January 2007 the Clearing House is introducing an upgrade to the LME Matching and Clearing system and External Interface to change the minimum length of passwords to eight characters. As part of this change the Clearing House is also making a recommendation to use alphanumeric characters. This change is being introduced to enhance password security.
This change will affect both operational and default passwords, but current passwords that are used to access LME Matching and Clearing and the External Interface will continue to be valid until they expire. At expiry new passwords that conform to the new requirement will need to be input. However, members are encouraged to adopt the new password security requirements as soon as possible.
Members are requested to forward this circular to the relevant department within their company and complete the New Default Password form below, which will need to include a password that fulfils the new requirements.
Members are requested to complete and return this form to LCH Helpdesk by 19th January 2007.
