Introduction of LMEmini Contracts on the LME
Introduction
Further to LME Notice 06/309:305 dated 10 November 2006 we provide below information about the introduction of the LMEmini futures contracts.
Launch Information
The LMEmini Copper Grade A, Primary Aluminium and Special High Grade Zinc futures contracts will be launched on Monday, 4 December 2006.
LME Matching and Clearing System (MCS)
In preparation of the launch of LMEmini futures contracts the MCS will be upgraded over the weekend of 18/19 November to include all eight LMEmini futures contracts. Trade input of LMEmini contracts will be prohibited until 4 December 2006.
From Monday, 20 November 2006 external interface, London SPAN parameter files, screens and reports will have closing prices data populated for all eight LMEmini futures contracts.
Included within this release will be revised matching deadlines for Kerb 7 outlined in LME Circular 06/266 and the changed trading time for cash today (TOM) client contracts outlined in LME Circular 06/313.
LMEmini Commodity Codes
The commodity codes for the three contracts launching on 4 December 2006 will be as follows:

| MZD | Special High Grade Zinc |
London SPAN Parameters
The contract will be margined using London SPAN. The London SPAN Parameters are available on LCH.Clearnet Group website under the ‘Risk Management’ section (/data_downloads/ltd/span.asp).
PPS and Banking Procedures

Fees
LCH.Clearnet will not be charging any fees for any LMEmini transactions from their launch on 4 December 2006 until the end of December 2006. Fee rates will be notified to Members’ in due course.
The Clearing House Rulebook
Amendments and additions to the Clearing House Rulebook (General Regulations, Default Rules Settlement Finality Regulations and Procedures) for these contracts will be available on the LCH.Clearnet Group website (/rules_and_regulations/ltd/forthcoming.asp) in due course, under the section ‘Rules & Regulations’, under sub-heading ‘Ltd - Recent and Forthcoming Changes”.
