Sterling GC Member Implementation and Testing
Dear RepoClear Participant
LCH.Clearnet is now beginning the process of organising the implementation and testing framework for the launch of the Sterling GC service. The target live date for the service launch is currently planned on the 23rd October 2006 following a mandatory member test programme commencing on 2nd October 2006.
RepoClear participants who are intending to be active in the Sterling GC product from the date of the launch have been identified via a registration process, in preparation for the member testing scheduled. Your company has expressed an intention to participate and this places you within the scope of the implementation and testing programme.
In addition to the mandatory testing programme, LCH.Clearnet will also provide participants with a free test period facility for those wishing to interact with the member test environment before formal mandatory member testing commences.
The implementation and testing timetable is as follows:
The free test facility will be available for the week commencing 25th September 2006. Members will be able to use this phase to input their own scripted transactions for testing of their internal systems.
The above will be followed by a mandatory Member Testing period of two weeks starting on the 2nd of October 2006 and planned to terminate on the 13th of October 2006. During this period, please be aware that dedicated days will be set aside for LCH participants to repeat any outstanding testing
A contingency period of one week is planned before the go-live
The current target date for go-live is the 23rd of October 2006. This target date will be ratified subsequent to successful member testing and will be confirmed via an info flash on the 16th of October.
Note that dates may be subject to change as the project progresses
Please find attached to this communication, a Sterling GC Member Testing Approach that gives an overview of the intended implementation and testing plan. The document also outlines the testing stages that will have to be successfully completed and also details the timetable. In order to assist in developing the test scripts, LCH.Clearnet will organise shortly a consultation with selected members in order to assess your testing requirements. Scripted scenarios will be provided in August 2006.
