Student Placements

LCH.Clearnet Limited have been running an Industrial Placement programme since 1977 and takes its programme very seriously.

We believe that placement students can add tremendous value to the organisation and are treated like a permanent member of staff in the work that they are given and our expectations of them - no full time photocopy clerks and tea makers here.

We have a rigorous recruitment process to ensure that we recruit high calibre students. For those who are successful, in return for your commitment and positive attitude to your placement we offer an induction programme, on the job training and excellent benefits. For those students who especially excel during their placement there may be the opportunity to return to LCH.Clearnet Limited on a permanent basis following graduation. Indeed, 2 of our previous placement students who returned after graduation have become a Director in Risk Management and a Senior Manager in IT. Who knows where your placement may take you...?

The skills that you learn and develop whilst you are here equip you with extra knowledge for your final year and will assist you when looking for a job after graduation. With so many people now going to university and graduating with a good degree you need something extra to offer a future employer. A year's work experience in a respected organisation could well be that extra "something".
